Comprising a teapot, sugar bowl, and milk jug, each of rounded baluster form and raised on four cast paw feet, the bodies richly and densely chased overall with scrolling foliate and floral ornament arranged around shaped vacant cartouches. The teapot with elongated curved spout chased en suite and fitted with a domed hinged lid surmounted by a finely modeled elephant finial, the handle of angular form with insulating elements. The sugar bowl and milk jug each with twin angular handles and domed lids, the sugar bowl also surmounted by an elephant finial, the cream jug with a stylized bird-form spout. The repoussé and chased decoration reflects high-quality Indian colonial silver work of the late 19th century, combining European tea service forms with Indian iconography and ornamental density typical of workshop production for export or elite domestic use. Silver unmarked or with indistinct workshop marks, consistent with Indian silver of the period.
