Portrait plaster bust with a matte white surface of Franklin D. Roosevelt, signed: G. Derujinsky (incised at the proper left side of base). This sculpted bust of President Franklin D. Roosevelt is modeled in plaster by Gleb Derujinsky, one of the most accomplished Russian-American sculptors of the 20th century. The subject is depicted with a calm and confident expression, wearing a tie and jacket, captured in Derujinsky’s characteristic realist style — elegant yet restrained, with subtle surface texturing and volume.H: 7 1/4 in., (18.4 cm.)Minor soiling, oxidation, and light abrasions; one spot on the forehead and chin shows localized discoloration.
