- Lot Description
Рmatched pair of flintlock blunderbuss pistols, French, ca. 1820–1830. The pistols feature flared muzzles (muzzle: 25.4 mm), and were designed for close-range defensive use. Decorated with a scrolled, polished iron inlay at the pommel. Flared barrels for wide shot dispersion. Side-plate and lock mechanism typical of post-Napoleonic flintlock design.
L: 8 in., (20.3 cm.)
Condition
Very good with excellent barrels and iron months. Light signs of wear to the stocks.
