AMERICAN FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY BUREAU / CHEST OF DRAWERS, the rectangular top with applied edge molding over four cockbeaded, graduated drawers flanked by line-inlaid canted corners and solid ends, the whole raised on an applied base with cut-out slightly splayed "French" feet. Refinished surface with mellow color. Circa 1810-1830. 36 1/4" H, 21 1/8" x 41 1/4" top. Provenance: Property of a Virginia private collector.
Back boards replaced. Brasses probably replaced (in original holes). Repairs to cockbeading and minor repairs to feet.
