H___MEIER," double set triggers, brass trigger guard and buttplate. Forestock likely cut short, with metal cap-plate, but possibly half stock as made. With oak ramrod. Second quarter 19th century. 49 3/4" L, barrel 33 1/2" L.
Expected wear and nicks to stock, expected pitting around and to percussion nipple, loss to stock adjacent to nipple, stock likely cut short as described, ramrod fitters replaced, some marring and dents/nicks to barrel, primarily to octagonal section near lock. Lock not in full working condition, needs repair.
