MID-ATLANTIC DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with incised neck rings below the deep square rim, and beaded foot. Brushed cobalt swag decoration below rim on both sides, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Circa 1840-1860. 9 1/8" H, 6 3/8" D rim. Provenance: From a Virginia private collection.
