MID-ATLANTIC EARTHENWARE / REDWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, lead-glazed, each semi-ovoid form, comprising an approximately one-pint example with rounded rim and pronounced foot, and an approximately half-gallon example with an upright broad rim and slight foot. Small example probably Pennsylvania, other probably Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Circa 1840-1880. 4 1/2" H, 4" D rim, and 8 3/4" H, 4 1/2" D rim. Provenance: From a Virginia private collection.
