PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, "4" gallon capacity mark, baluster-form with incised shoulder and neck rings, arched handles, high collar, plain rim, and pronounced foot, brown-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt horizontal fern and leaf decoration full round and at handle terminals. Attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA. Circa 1850-1870. 14 1/2" H, 9 3/4" D rim.
