MID-ATLANTIC DECORATED STONEWARE LARGE-MOUTH JUG, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with incised shoulder ring, deep collared neck below the squared mouth, squared rim, and strap handle with medial groove, Albany-slip glazed interior. Brushed cobalt naive three-petal foliate decoration repeated twice on shoulder, additional cobalt at handle terminals. Circa 1850-1870. 10 1/2" H, 3 1/8" D rim.
