RARE EASTERN MARYLAND LATE BAROQUE WALNUT GATE-LEG TABLE, an unusual and early Maryland form, the rectangular, rounded-edge top over two hinged demilune fall leaves, above a molded apron (single drawer to one end), raised on a double gate-leg assembly featuring turned columnar legs and turned stretchers. Likely originally fitted with ogee-molded applied "Spanish" type feet (now lost). Old estate surface with rich color. Mid 18th century. 25 7/8" H, 14" x 33 3/4" top (closed).
