WEST VIRGINIA OR WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, beaded neck, and flat-top rounded rim, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt spread-wing shield-breast eagle facing right and clutching arrows in one talon and a piece of wheat in the other, with brushed stripes above and below. Attributed to A. P.
