WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA OVERSIZED STENCILED STONEWARE JAR, salt-glazed, stenciled "20" gallon capacity, cylindrical form with a slight shoulder, grooved arched handles, rounded flat-top rim, and Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "A. CONRAD. / NEW / GENEVA / PA.", flanked by large rose sprays, brushed cobalt stripes at rim and base, additional cobalt surrounding handle terminals. Front with a crack extending from rim to base, appears to have been stabilized, other light hairlines and spiders to body, most to exterior only.
