• Lot Description
  Heraldik Album mit 151 handgemalten Wappen. Wohl Deutschland, um 1700. Feder, Gouache und Aquarelle auf Papier. Kl.8° (Blattmaße ca. 17 x 11 cm). Mod. HPgt. mit Marmordeckeln. Heraldry - Album with 151 hand-painted coats of arms. Probably Germany, c. 1700. Pen and ink, gouache and watercolours on paper. Mod. half vellum with marbled boards. - Splendid and interesting collection of entirely hand-painted representations of coats of arms in strong colouring, mostly titled by hand. It contains the emblems of European royal houses (e.g. Sweden, Prussia, Sardinia and Savoy, Portugal, Great Britain, France, Denmark and Poland) and in particular of German and Austrian noble families (see above). - Partly a little bit trimmed. Some illustrations with slight workshop traces. Partly somewhat stained and rubbed. Some plates with contemporary autograph inscriptions in red ink on verso. Colours very well preserved. Prächtige und interessante Sammlung von gänzlich handgemalten Wappendarstellungen in kräftigem Kolorit, überwiegend mit handschriftlicher Betitelung versehen. Sie enthält die Embleme europäischer Königshäuser (u.a. Schweden, Preussen, Sardinien und Savoyen, Portugal, Großbritannien, Frankreich, Dänemark und Polen) und insbesonderer deutscher und österreichischer Adelsgeschlechter, u.a. die Grafen und Fürsten von Arco, Auersperg, von und zu Daun, Gabelkoven, Herberstein, Harrach, Kazianer, Lodron, Lobkowitz, Löwenstein-Wertheim, Nassau, Nostitz, Polheim, Taaffe, Thurn und Taxis, Vilana-Perlas, Windisch-Graetz, Wallis und Weissenwolff, um nur einige zu nennen. - Teils knapp beschnitten. Einige Darstellungen mit Atelierspuren. Teils etwas fleckig und berieben. Einige Bll. verso mit zeitgen. hs. Vermerken in roter Tinte. Farben sehr gut erhalten. * Dieses Werk ist regelbesteuert.
