British, Donyatt, Somerset, circa 1790
Oviform with yellow and mottled green glaze, sgraffito and pierced neck, tubular rim with a single spout, shoulder incised with the drinking verse, "When this you see remember me & bear/ me in your mind for I am seldom at your hous (sic)", above a panel flanked by tulips and incised "spak by me/ you find SOW (?)", the date 1790 to the lower left, bottom incised "John Brown/ Maker".
