Ca. 1880 - A curved wooden handle which can be unscrewed and removed, gold shield cartouche attached toward top of handle which reads "Hubbard 126 Newgates" and has a lion and camel, "DAY'S PATENT JR" engraved on top side, signed beneath with "17", on underside of cane is percussion cap that can be pulled which exposes trigger, "77" engraved just below percussion cap as well as well as the word "twist" and maker's marks, with a sight where the ferrule would be, approx. .50 cal, fine working condition. H-3 1/4x1 3/4" OL-34 1/2"
