Ca. 1930-1950 - Traditional wooden Alpine pilgrimage staff associated with a sense of Mt. Fuji, retaining multiple commemorative pennants including a rising sun summit flag inscribed "Light of Peace" and "Commemoration of Reaching the Summit of Mt. Fuji", additional text references multiple altitudes, staff bears numerous burned and inked Japanese descriptions likely added during the ascent at various stations or temples, such staffs were carried by climbers and pilgrims often personalized throughout the journey, retains excellent character with strong visual appeal and minimal wear from period aging, flags have expected wear but overall good condition.
