Late 19th Century - An antique firearm cane designed to discharge a .410 shotgun cartridge, featuring a checkered pistol-grip handle with an integrated trigger mechanism concealed within the handle. The grip displays fine diamond checkering and escutcheon plates securing the grip panels, providing a firm hold when firing. The cane unscrews to reveal a smooth bore steel barrel with the handle functioning as the fire mechanism. Weapon can be cocked by pulling the trigger beneath the handle, the same trigger can be pulled to half point to lock in safety mode, beneath lower handle you will find a concealed trigger button, excellent working condition with honest wear from age, but no major issues to note. Shaft wrapped in leather with no splits, and a protective removable horn ferrule. An excellent example of a highly sought after Victorian firearm system cane. H-3 3/4x4 1/4" OL-33 1/2"
