Ca. 1886 - A large heavy silver handle modeled in a classical baroque T-shape with curving ends in the taste of the Romantic era, handle is delicately hand-chaste and engraved with scrolls and flowers, German "half-moon and crown" with hallmark for silver, clear maker mark for Koch and Bergfeld which is one of the oldest and still active silver makers in the world founded in 1829, unique snake wood shaft with average age wear and 3 applied silver letters reading "J. R. P." near collar, and a bi-metal ferrule (original may have been replaced, but current still appears older). H-3x5" OL-32"
