• Lot Description
  Since its roots began in the year 1295, Barovier and Toso, a glassmaking firm of the island of Murano near Venice, Italy, has long prided itself on painstaking blown glass work that embodies the slow-moving, poetic spirit of the island. This Mid-Century Modern bell jar chandelier by the company, created in the 1950s, possesses that vision in its beautiful crystal-clear ripples and playful, organic shape. Small, dark brass accents similarly feel earthy, each accent distinct, as though it was plucked straight from a metallic deposit in the earth.
