Hummingbird Vase
A richly enameled ball vase by Camille Fauré, titled Hummingbird. Measuring approximately 4 3/4 in. in diameter and 5 in. in height, the vase is signed on the base, C. Faure Limoges. The vessel is adorned with a vibrant depiction of a hummingbird in flight among stylized blossoms, executed in Fauré’s signature technique of thick, layered enamel that creates both texture and luminosity. The spherical form and jewel-like surface exemplify his celebrated contributions to French decorative art.

Camille Fauré (1874–1956) was one of the foremost French enamelers of the early 20th century, working in Limoges during the height of the Art Deco movement. Known for his bold use of color and intricate, raised enameling techniques, Fauré transformed traditional decorative vessels into modern works of art. His subjects ranged from stylized florals to geometric abstractions, each rendered with a luminous quality that has made his pieces highly sought after.
