Hydrangea Vase
A richly enameled ball vase by Camille Fauré, titled Hydrangea. Measuring approximately 7 1/2 in. in diameter and 7 1/4 in. in height, the vase is signed on the base, C. Faure Limoges. Executed in Fauré’s celebrated technique of thickly applied enamel, the surface displays vibrant hydrangea blossoms in jewel-like tones, set against a contrasting ground that enhances the depth and luminosity of the design. The spherical form and layered enamel application exemplify his mastery of both artistry and craftsmanship.

Camille Fauré (1874–1956) was a French enameler renowned for his innovative and highly decorative works produced in Limoges during the early to mid-20th century. Building on Limoges’ centuries-old enameling tradition, Fauré developed a distinct style characterized by thick, vibrant enamel layered in relief, often depicting floral motifs or geometric Art Deco patterns.
