Manhattan Mary III
A serigraph by Erte, titled Manhattan Mary III. Numbered 222/300 and hand-signed by the artist at the lower right, the work reflects Erte’s hallmark Art Deco style, blending elegant line, stylized form, and theatrical poise. The composition exemplifies his ability to transform the human figure into a symbol of grace and sophistication, drawing on his background in fashion illustration and stage design. Measuring approximately 29 x 34 in., the print is a refined example of Erte’s celebrated graphic work.

Erte (born Romain de Tirtoff, 1892–1990) was a Russian-born French artist and designer whose career spanned illustration, stage design, painting, prints, and sculpture. His work is celebrated for its stylized elegance, exoticism, and decorative innovation.
