Erte (born Romain de Tirtoff, 1892–1990) was a Russian-born French artist and designer celebrated as a master of Art Deco. His works, spanning gouache paintings, prints, sculpture, and costume design, are renowned for their elegance, exoticism, and decorative sophistication.
