Joan Miró (1893–1983) was one of the most celebrated artists of the 20th century, associated with Surrealism but forging a distinct visual language that blended abstraction with playful symbolism. His paintings, drawings, and prints often feature bold color, biomorphic shapes, and calligraphic line, evoking both the subconscious and the natural world. Miró was also a prolific printmaker, and his lithographs, in particular, exemplify his mastery of color and line.
