Upper phylactery on which can be read these fragments:"HOC EST CORPUS MEUM", "HICEST FILIUS MEUS DILECTUS", and "SIC DEUS DIEXIT MUN DUM". All make reference to the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Lower phylactery on which can be read the following fragments: "HIC EST PANIS QUI DES CAELO DES CENDIT", and "PANGE LINGUA GLORIOSI CORPORIS MYSTERIUM". both were taken from John 6, Jesus's sermon on the bread of life.
