· During Beecham’s early career he was heavily influenced by his former professor Harvey Littleton, and later on apprenticed under Littleton for quite some time in the late 70s and early 80s.
· Beecham’s style is representative of various ancient glass aesthetics, both by a love of vessel form and by the ancient skills of blowing and fusing. In contemporary glass, he combines thick crystal forms favored by Scandinavian designers with intricate cane techniques found in Venetian glass.
· Beecham has since been working with glass for over 35 years, making him not only a master of his craft, but also a crucial member of the Studio Glass Movement.
