A finely detailed early 19th-century engraving after William Hogarth, titled “To Nature and Yourself Appeal; Nor Learn of Others What to Feel,” published March 1st, 1809 by Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme. The composition depicts a classical winged figure seated before an easel, richly rendered with allegorical symbolism and accompanied by the original inscription below. Engraved by E. Cook after Hogarth, this print reflects the enduring influence of Hogarth’s moral and artistic commentary. Approx. frame size (in): 14.75 x 11.75 x 1.5, Approx. print size (in): 7.25 x 6.25.
