Antique Henry Troemner No. 12 apothecary or laboratory balance scale housed in its original wood and glass display case, marked “Henry Troemner, Philadelphia.” This classic scientific instrument features a brass beam with decorative arrow detail, mounted over a stone (likely marble) platform with central weighing pan area. The original wooden case has a hinged glass lid and sits on a black-painted base with a small drawer for weights. The piece shows expected age-related wear, including surface scuffs, oxidation to the metal, and finish loss to the base, all consistent with an authentic late 19th to early 20th century example. Troemner was a highly respected maker of precision scales, and this piece makes an excellent display item for collectors of scientific instruments, apothecary antiques, or early American industrial pieces. Approx. Case Size: 6.75 x 13.25 x 6.25.
