- Lot Description
A finely executed antique etching depicting a peaceful pastoral landscape with a low farmhouse set amid tall grasses and a stand of trees, rendered in delicate line work and soft tonal shading. The composition captures a tranquil rural setting, with careful attention to texture in the foliage and roofline, characteristic of late 19th to early 20th century printmaking. The work appears to be pencil-signed in the lower right margin, though the signature is faint and difficult to definitively identify. Presented in a later wooden frame with a neutral mat, the piece retains its original warm-toned paper, showing age-appropriate toning and minor wear consistent with its period. The backing paper and wire suggest it has been framed for many years. A charming and decorative example of traditional landscape etching, well-suited for collectors of antique prints or classic interior display.
