- Lot Description
A decorative pair of Chinese porcelain plates, each finely painted with a mountainous river landscape featuring village houses, a pagoda, boats, trees, and rocky peaks in soft famille rose-style enamel colors. The scenes are framed by gilt rims and accompanied by black calligraphic inscriptions with red artist-style seals, giving the pair a scholarly and poetic presentation. The reverse sides bear iron-red seal marks within the foot rings. Elegant and well matched, these plates display classic Chinese landscape decoration and make an attractive pair for wall display, cabinet presentation, or a collection of Chinese porcelain. Approx. diameter (in): 5.25.
