- Lot Description
Elegant antique Victorian parasol featuring a richly carved handle and shaft with detailed floral and foliate ornamentation, terminating in a gracefully curved crook handle. The canopy is fashioned from chocolate-brown silk and trimmed with deep black fringe, accented by decorative tassels and a tied silk bow at the ferrule. The interior retains its original metal rib structure, and the parasol presents with a warm, aged patina consistent with late 19th to early 20th century examples. A refined accessory of the Victorian or Edwardian era, combining functional craftsmanship with decorative appeal, ideal for collectors of antique fashion accessories, textiles, or ivory-handled walking sticks and parasols. Condition consistent with age, including wear to the silk and fringe as shown. Approx. length (in): 12.75 (closed umbrella).
