- Lot Description
Visconti "Caravels Nina" fountain pen crafted in vertically striated green celluloid with gold-tone trim and Visconti's distinctive bridge-style clip. The pen is fitted with an engraved 18k (750) gold nib marked "Visconti Firenze" with a B nib designation. This model references the historic Nina, one of Christopher Columbus's famed caravels, part of Visconti's nautical-themed Caravels series. The cap and barrel display the attractive layered green celluloid pattern characteristic of the model. Visible verdigris and oxidation are present on the clip and cap band, as shown in the photographs, while the body remains structurally sound. A desirable Visconti limited series fountain pen offered with wear consistent with age and use.
