Appears to be unsigned, bears partial paper label showing ownership from Comte Leon (Napoleon I illegitimate son). Henry Francois D'Aguesseau was Chancelier of France 1715,

Sight: 32 1/2 x 27 in. (82.6 x 68.6 cm.), Frame: 41 1/4 x 33 in. (104.8 x 83.8 cm.)
Relined. Repaired vertical tear to left of head. U.V. inspection revealed light, scattered retouch. Some in face, above hand, top center edge, in sitter’s right shoulder, lower left edge. Light surface wear and discoloration of varnish. The picture presents nicely with nice color and tone of skin. Minor losses to frame, gesso, gilding. Otherwise in good condition.
