Federal Grain Painted Lift-Top Two Drawer Blanket Chest
South Shaftsbury, Vermont, c. 1815.

39 3/4 x 41 x 19 1/2 in. (101 x 104.1 x 49.5 cm.)Condition
Paint appears to be original. Scratches, abrasions, and losses to surface on top. Losses and wear around pulls consistent with age and use. Crack and repairs to base of front foot facings. Scattered paint loss consistent with age and use. Brasses appear to be old and likely original. Slight bow and crack to face of two false drawers. Some shrinkage cracks to top and case side. Some filler added to crack on case side. Surface is thin. Otherwise in an overall good state of preservation and condition.
