Hooked Rug of Running Deer
C. 1900, hooked rug with running white deer outlined in red and a tree with colorful leaves against a black background emphasizes the theme of motion in Muriel's collecting.
Provenance: Muriel Stuart Warwick (1900-1991)
26 x 34 1/2 in. (66 x 87.6 cm.)Condition
White spots are dust/debris. Would benefit from a light cleaning/shake out. Losses to banding on three out of four edges and to brown ground along bottom edge. Some tearing in center of body and rear leg. Also, could benefit from some conservation. Only in fair condition.
