Pair of two Connecticut Chippendale figured maple side chairs, ca. 1775, retaining a dark early historic surface, 37 1/8" h. Provenance: Private Collection, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
Wear commensurate with age and use. Glue blocks replaced. One chair shows repair to the proper front left leg at the junction with the seat rail and the rear left leg at junction with the side stretcher, as well as repair to the splat.
