New York: Farrar, Straus and Company, 1948. 8vo. 262 pp. Publisher's full gray cloth, spine lettered in burgundy, publisher's unclipped ("$2.75") dust jacket. FIRST EDITION OF THE AUTHOR'S FIRST NOVEL, SIGNED BY HIM ON THE FFEP. "With sincerity William Gardner Smith".
Condition
Cloth spine a bit toned and rubbed, endleaves a bit offset, text a bit toned, last few leaves with minor marginal soiling, light foxing to edge of text block; jacket spine a bit sunned and lightly chipped, light toning, rubbing to jacket, upper edge of jacket flaps a bit toned and creased. Still, fine.
