- Lot Description
ANDERSON, John Henry (1814 - 74). Great Wizard of the North Medallion. England, ca. 1849. The obverse bears a cast bust portrait of this great Scottish magician; the reverse bears a left-facing bust portrait of Queen Victoria, for whom Anderson was commanded to perform before Balmoral Castle on August 28, 1849. Pewter, diameter 2". Usual handling wear to outer rim, but a strongly struck and attractive example overall. MT012. RARE.
