[ARCHITECTURE]. DOWNING, A. J. (1815-1852). Trio of Leather-Bound Titles on Architecture and Landscape Design. [V.p., ca. 1842-1862]. 8vos. Illustrated. All bound in contemporary half brown morocco over marbled boards, gilt spines, marbled endleaves.
Condition
Bindings heavily worn, spines chipped, some boards detached (yet present), several endleaves loose (yet present), some toning, soiling, foxing in text, ownership markings on front blanks. Fair. VARIOUS EDITIONS. Titles include: Cottage Residences... (first edition); Rural Essays (later edition); A Treatise on the Theory and Practice of Landscape Gardening... (seventh edition). Sold as-is, not subject to return).
