[BINDING]. BROWNING, Elizabeth Barrett (1806?1861). Sonnets from the Portuguese. Oxford: Basil Blackwell for The Shakespeare Head Press, 1945. 8vo. Printed in red and black. Full crushed purple niger with a central inlaid miniature portrait of Browning within a sunken oval gilt, double gilt ruled borders with gilt scrollwork cornerpieces of viny floral ornaments, 6 compartments with 5 raised bands gilt, gilt?lettering in two, remainder tooled with floral ornaments gilt, all edges gilt, white silk moir? endpapers, gilt dentelles, gilt stamp?signed by Bayntun Riviere (extremities gently sunned, else fine). In a HANDSOME COSWAY?STYLE BINDING.
