BONAPARTE, Joseph-Napoleon (1764-1844). Autograph Letter Signed. February 16, 1814. 4to. Plain white paper. Addressed ?Monsieur le duc?. Signed ?Joseph? at the bottom. Approximately 11 ? x 8 ??. Framed under glass 13 x 9?. One vertical and three horizontal creases, some toning, inkstamps, later notations in other hands. Very good. Bonaparte was the older brother of the emperor, Napoleon (1769-1821), and was king of Naples from 1806-1808 and was king of Spain from 1808-1813. This letter was written near the end of his brother?s first reign. Not examined out of frame.
