[BOOKS AND PRINTS]. DUPLESSI-BERTAUX, Jean (1747–1819). Recueil de Cent Sujets de Divers Genres ("A Collection of One Hundred Subjects of Various Genres"). Paris: C. Thierry, 1846. Oblong 8vo. Illustrated. Marbled boards with gilt cloth spine. A collection of 100 engravings by Duplessi-Bertaux depicting workers and street scenes, including two vignettes of a street magician performing cups-and-balls.
Condition
Rubbing to spine and extremities; front cover detached with damage to center. Foxing and damp stains throughout. Chipping and small tears at margins. Good.
