BRICKHILL, LT. Paul (1916-1991). The Great Escape. New York: W. W. Norton & Company, [1950]. FIRST EDITION of this account of the mass escape from the German P.O.W. camp, Stalag Luft III. This book is the basis of the 1963 film starring Steve McQueen and James Garner, and directed by John Sturges.
