[CALIFORNIA]. ?? [SAN FRANCISCO]. The Clipper Ship Challenger. New York: Nesbitt & Company, 1859. Full color advertisement on porcelain-coated card stock (102 x 171 mm) with a color wood?engraved illustration of a conquistador for the clipper ship Challenger. Toning with lightly bumped edges. The Challenger was famous for making some of the fastest runs between Boston and San Francisco during the 1850s.
