CARDINI (Richard Pitchford, 1895 ? 1973). Cardini's Folding Top Hat. London: Henry Heath, Ltd., ca. 1920s. Folding cloth opera hat worn by Cardini in his famous vaudeville magic act. Black silk with matching band. Well-worn with the lining perished but sturdy and with the spring mechanism in good working order. With an LOA from Cardini's daughter attesting to the provenance of the hat.
