[CIRCUS]. Group of 19 large photographs. American, ca. 1900s-50s. Including three early studio portraits of performing troupes, one inscribed and signed lower right; mounted photo of equestrians by C.C. Cook, New York; photograph inside a tent of clowns and performers; portrait of a man shaving an elephant's toenail; Ione Carl, John Robinson's Circus; several parade images; and others. Sizes generally 11 x 14". Five mounted on board, several on studio mounts. Condition fair to very good.
