Pair of letterpress handbills or challenges issued to Houdini by employees of the famous Philadelphia department store. In both he agrees to attempt an escape from a packing box constructed by staff members of the business. The larger 10 1/4 x 5". Both with chips, wear, and losses, and uneven trimming. Provenance: Collection of Beatrice Houdini, passed by the consignor by descent.
