Near fine. FIRST EDITION OF THIS UNCOMMON BOOKLET WITH EXCERPTS FROM WOMEN'S DIARIES FROM THE END OF THE CIVIL WAR; THIS COPY SIGNED BY SUSAN B. JERVEY ON THE FRONT WRAPPER AND SIGNED BY THE PUBLISHER ON THE TITLE-PAGE. There is another signature on the title-page stating that this copy was presented by Dwight (in an unknown hand). The excerpts in this booklet relate the events at the end of the war from the viewpoint of two Southern women who lived on plantations.
