[CIVIL WAR]. WEYGANT, Charles H. (1839-1909). History of the One Hundred and Twenty-Fourth Regiment, N. Y. S. V. Newburgh, NY: Cyrus B. Martin / Journal Printing House, 1875-1877. Large 8vo. Illustrated with 2 plates, one folding. 460, [2, blank] pp. Bound by the Daily News Book Bindery in contemporary half brown morocco over black cloth boards, boards and spine stamped in gilt, 2 raised bands, all edges stained red, 2 title-pages with different printers and publication dates (binding worn, soiled, endleaves offset, text a bit toned with occasional dampstaining). Good. FIRST EDITION WITH A SECOND (preliminary?) title-page. An uncommon history of the ?Orange Blossoms," a regiment formed from Orange County, NY, who fought in Fredericksburg and Gettysburg. From the renowned personal collection of Dr. George D. Lacy. Measurements: 11 x 9 x 1".
