COUSTEAU, Jacques (1910-1997). Whales. New York: Harry N. Abrams, [1988]. Folio. Illustrated throughout. 280 pp. Publisher's full blue cloth, front board and spine stamped in white, publisher's unclipped (no price) dust jacket.
Condition
Minor rubbing to cloth, minor creasing, wear to hinges; jacket lightly toned, rubbed, creased, soiled. Near fine. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, SIGNED BY COUSTEAU ON AN INSERTED LEAF. Cousteau was an oceanographer, documentarian, conservationist, and co-inventor of SCUBA gear. Cousteau's research vessel, Calypso, inspired the hit song by John Denver.
